You can learn about our benefits here: Summary:The Ci t y of B a l t i m or e ’s D e p a rtm e nt of F ina n c e (DOF) is s ee king a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP). This position will report to the DOF-HR Chief and will be responsible for overseeing full-cycle recruitment, employee relations, and various HR projects. The HRBP will step in to assist our HR Generalists in their recruitment processes as well as assisting the HR Chief in more complex HR projects.Minimum Qualifications:Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.ANDExperience: Have (5) five years of experience in progressive strategic human resources management (Human Resources Generalist, Specialist, or Business Partner).Equivalency Notes: An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. One year of graduate course work in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or Public Policy from an accredited college or university may be substituted for each year of the experience requirement.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resource Management and employee and labor relationsKnowledge of Federal, State, and Local Government employment regulationsAbility to develop and implement Human Resource programs, policies, and proceduresExperience in recruitment and talent developmentAbility to advise all types of employees of policies and proceduresAbility to train all employees on Human Resources policies and proceduresAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels of the organizationAdditional InformationBackground CheckEligible candidates under final consideration for appointment to positions identified as positions of trust will be required to complete authorization for a Criminal Background Check and/or Fingerprint must be successfully completed.Probation All persons, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a mandatory six-month probation.Financial DisclosureThis position is required to complete a Financial Disclosure pursuant to Sections 7-7, 7-8, and 7-9 of the City Ethics Law.The initial financial disclosure must be submitted within 30 days of hire.Baltimore City Government is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer, and we are committed to a workplace that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
