Bring your passion for Software Development to help us develop a global search and geocoding capability, both of which are cornerstones of Esri software products.You’ll work alongside product engineers, developers, and users to create location-based APIs, geocoding services, and enhancements to Esri software in the mobile, desktop, server, and online environments.This is a great opportunity to design and develop next-gen Esri technology. We love making a difference and leading the way in developing innovative technology.Since this position is located in Redlands, CA, we will offer relocation assistance if needed.ResponsibilitiesWrite scalable, reusable, and maintainable codeDevelop advanced search algorithms for finding the best candidate amongst billions of candidate recordsDesign and implement efficient data formats and structures for large amounts of spatially enabled data optimized for rapid searchOptimize existing and new C++ code to reduce memory consumption and to increase performance and scalabilityRequirements8+ years of related software development experienceStrong development skills in C++ (C++11 and higher, STL, Boost, Clang, MSVC), and/or RustStrong background in algorithms, data structures and design patternsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEffective time management and organizational skillsBachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, GIS, or related fieldRecommended QualificationsExperience developing search and/or geocoding solutionsExperience with cloud-based architectures and microservicesExperience developing desktop and enterprise solutionsMaster’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, GIS, or related fieldAbout EsriAt Esri, diversity is more than just a word on a map.
