Additionally, we participate in the E-Verify program.ContributionsAs a Cloud Architect, you will work within our growing DevSecOps practice delivering features to support cloud migration, cloud optimization, and cloud deployment. We are looking for candidates with 8-10 years of experience with cloud platform services and DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code and configuration management automation. Responsibilities include:Identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the customerDesign cloud environments and demonstrate technical cloud architectural knowledge, playing a vital role in the design of production, staging, QA, and development of cloud infrastructures running in 24×7 environmentsImplement and oversee cloud strategies including migrations and optimizationsEstablish development tools and infrastructure for automationUnderstand the needs of stakeholders and convey this to developersAutomate and improve development, testing, deployment, and release processesTest and examine code written by others and analyze resultsPerform root cause analysis on complex business processes and technical componentsEnsure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threatsIdentify technical problems, perform root cause analysis, and develop software updates and ‘fixes’Work with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intendedSupport enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure through infrastructure as code including any activities around automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, and monitoring and testing, such as CI/CDDocument the as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendationsLeverage virtualization and containerization to optimize and modernize software systemsAct as an individual contributor and mentor more junior team membersEngineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement for the services providedPresent regular status updates and provide cross-training to other team membersQualificationsRequired:Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security ClearanceBS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a non-IT field and 2 years of related IT experience8 Years of Experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions8 Years of Experience with one or more clouds (i.e. AWS, Azure, or GCP)8 Years of Experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket8 Years of Experience with systems development in an Agile environment8 Years of Experience implementing infrastructure as code and orchestration8 Years of Experience integrating deployments with industry standard DevSecOps tooling and orchestration5 Years of Experience in several of the following areas: database architecture, ETL, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, advanced analyticsCertification such as:AWS Certified DevOps EngineerAWS Certified Solution Architect ProfessionalMicrosoft Certified DevOps Engineer ExpertMicrosoft Certified Solution Architect ExpertSAFe DevOps CertificationPreferred:MS Degree in an IT-related fieldExcellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skillsExperience with documenting the as-is state of the environment, performing a gap analysis, and producing artifacts that articulate options and recommendations preferredExperience with scripting in Code Deploy, Concourse, Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or RubyExperience implementing docker containers and utilizing platforms such as KubernetesExperience with automation tools, including Code Deploy, Chef, Terraform, CloudFormation, or AnsibleAbout SteampunkSteampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $130,000 to $190,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
