The person who fills this role will design and develop scalable and efficient cloud-based data systems to process large volumes of brain data, supporting model development, deep research, and scientific discovery, resulting in real-world impact on patients with physical disabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and build databases for massive-scale storage of heterogeneous and high-dimensional data and metadataDesign and develop systems for high-throughput data ingestion, pipelining, curation, and quality assessmentsCharacterize data throughput, efficiency, compressibility, and performanceProvide observability, monitoring, and logging for data pathwaysWork collaboratively within a small team to integrate data platforms with research and product use casesEnsure compliance with medical software standards and regulations.Follow coding best practices to create and maintain reproducible, clear, and highly documented code.Role QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Math, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or other relevant quantitative fieldA minimum of 4 years of industry experience building solutions to manage large/massive datasets at scaleExperience working with distributed-data tools (e.g. Spark/Databricks, Delta Lake) and data formats (e.g. Apache Parquet, hdf5, relational data)Proficiency in Python and SQLPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with medical sensor data, time series data, and/or brain data.Practical knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.Expertise in production-quality Python for backend systems.Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and related technologiesExperience working with Azure platformsExperience working on medical or clinical applicationsExperience developing data solutions for foundation modelingWhat We OfferAn opportunity to work on exciting, cutting-edge projects to transform patients’ lives in a highly collaborative work petitive compensation, including stock prehensive benefits package.401(k) program with matching contributions.Equal Opportunity EmployerEcho Neurotechnologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
