This individual will provide systems engineering support to hardware developments for air, space, and ground systems utilizing state-of-the-art antenna, RF, digital, and microelectronics technologies. Project roles span all phases of product development cycle, from new business acquisition, and IRAD/technology development to established programs delivering integrated hardware and software systems. Systems engineering activities include system architecture design, trade studies, specification development, requirement definition and allocation, performance analysis and simulation; system modeling and simulation tool development, and support to hardware design, manufacturing, integration, and test.Essential experience in the following areas:Communication systemsRF and digital hardware designBaseband and digital signal processingWaveform designSignal detection and estimationSynchronization theoryNetworkingBasic Qualifications:Level 3: Bachelor's of Science degree in an Electrical Engineering discipline and +5 years of engineering experience OR a Master's of Science degree in an Electrical Engineering discipline and 3+ years of engineering experience OR a PhD in an Electrical Engineering disciplineLevel 4: Bachelor's of Science degree in an Electrical Engineering discipline and 8+ years of engineering experience OR a Master's of Science degree in an Electrical Engineering discipline and 6+ years of engineering experience OR a PhD in an Electrical Engineering discipline and 4+ years of engineering experiencePractical working experience with system architecture design, trade studies, and performance analysis and simulationTechnical experience with supporting hardware development utilizing antenna, RF, digital, optical, and/or microelectronic technologiesActive DoD Top Secret ClearancePreferred Qualifications:Advanced Degree in an Electrical Engineering disciplineCompleted relevant coursework listed in essential experiencePossess strong leadership qualities, as well as strong verbal and written communication skillsActive SCI Clearance*This position is contingent upon capturing program award, acquiring customer funding, and obtaining and maintaining the necessary clearance(s) prior to start date.*Salary Range: $110,300 - $165,500Salary Range 2: $137,400 - $206,000The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
