We are a trusted mission payload and ground system provider with extensive experience providing end-to-end mission solutions from concept through operations and support.We are seeking a Test and Evaluation Lead/Senior Principal Test Engineer to join our talented team in support of the ESS Mission Planning program in Redondo Beach, CA.This position is contingent upon program award and/or customer funding.What you'll get to do:Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipmentPlan and arrange the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devicesProvide test area with parameters for sample testing and specify tests to be performedCompile data and define changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirementsTest all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test areaBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 8 years of relevant experience; Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience; PhD with 4 years of relevant experienceActive Secret Clearance required at the time of applicationAbility to lead a team of Test Engineers through agile development model with demonstration and test eventsAbility to conduct testing, deliver test data and test results, and assist the Government at the conclusion of each contractor test phaseExperience troubleshooting and resolving software integration problemsExperience working in a multi-disciplinary team environmentAbility to collaborate and communicate across teams to achieve common goalsAbility to travel 10% of the timePreferred Qualifications:Ability to conduct laboratory and field tests of software, parts, subassemblies, equipment, and systems to ensure performance meets contractual requirementsAbility to create test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test reportsAbility to manage the defect backlog and closure processTS/SCI ClearanceSalary Range: $124,900 - $187,300The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
