The successful candidate will contribute to the Apple Business Essentials app (iPhone/iPad/mac), Schoolwork app (iPad), ClassKit framework (iOS/macOS), and other private frameworks and modules involved in Apple’s business and educational services.DescriptionApple Business Essentials simplifies managing Macs, iPads, iPhones, and Apple TVs for small businesses. The Apple Business Essentials app allows employees to install apps and request repairs. Schoolwork is a comprehensive workflow app for teachers, supporting features like collaborative documents, assessments, and app activities. Users in both cases are part of managed organizations using Managed Apple Accounts.We seek a dedicated engineer to enhance these apps and develop new features, addressing the needs of IT administrators, employees, educators, and students worldwide. You will work on impactful projects that challenge you and allow you to deliver your best work.ResponsibilitiesDevelop high-quality features based on specifications from Design, Product, and Engineering LeadershipCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate multiple platforms into new servicesResearch new technologies and present findings to stakeholdersAdhere to quality processes through architecture reviews, code reviews, and testingTriaging issues using debugging tools to identify solutionsMinimum Qualifications2+ years of software development and shipping experienceStrong testing fundamentals and commitment to quality engineeringSolid coding fundamentals with a desire to improvePassion for high-quality user experiences and attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively in a teamPreferred Qualifications5+ years of software development and shipping experienceStrong CS fundamentals, degree or self-taught, open to all backgroundsAt Apple, base pay ranges from $147,400 to $272,100, depending on skills, experience, and location.
