For more info, check out .Role: (Senior) Vehicle UI DeveloperLocation: San Diego, CA (in-office)Salary: $140,000-160,000/ yr + stock options, 401k matching, relocation assistance within the U.S. (if applicable), and other benefits.Role Overview:We’re looking for an experienced developer to join our User Interface (UI) team, delivering a class-leading UI that translates human intentions into ASV actions across the globe. We’re seeking someone excited to build a deep understanding of our vehicles’ capabilities, the vision behind them, and the realities that operators experience when using them. With this understanding and some exceptional technical skills, this person will make valuable contributions as part of a top-tier team.Role Details:This is a hands-on, code-heavy role. You'll be expected to write performant, reliable code that supports mission-critical features, frequently with tight time constraints. You’ll build a deep technical understanding of our platforms and help translate that into systems that feel intuitive to experienced operators and first-time users alike.You’ll develop and refine interfaces for managing real and simulated vehicles, build code to ingest and visualize large volumes of sensor data, and collaborate closely with roboticists, test engineers, and field operators to ensure what you build works in both theory and practice.Day-to-day, you will:Build and maintain high-performance code in JavaScript/React to command and monitor our fleetInterface with back-end systems and live telemetry feeds to create responsive applicationsImplement new features for internal or external customers, sometimes at a moment’s noticeImprove and extend testing, deployment, and monitoring infrastructureCollaborate with teammates across engineering and operations to identify issues and improve system usabilityAbout You:You love solving real problems with code and care deeply about making products that work reliably.
