OverviewOur team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.About Team:In the Technology Strategy team, we address issues that need cross-departmental input and involvement with senior executives throughout the company. While in the commercialization team, we develop partner networks to support increased productivity, speed, and innovation.What you’ll doAs a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll spend your days translating requirements into solutions, writing code, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing us with the insights necessary to think beyond the status quo. You’ll work in project teams consisting of other engineers achieving shared goals. During any given day, you will:Assist in solving problems by writing and developing code, conducting unit testing, communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders, troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes, and ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs.Assist in providing guidance to engineers for assigned Engineering projects by providing detailed technical feedback through various channels including pair programming and code reviews.Provide support to the business by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues.Troubleshoots business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause) and performing root cause analysis to reduce future issues.Participates in the discovery phase of small to medium-sized projects to come up with high level design by partnering with the product management, project management, business, user experience teams, and engineering teams.Now, imagine doing all the above for the world’s largest retailer.
