Firmware Engineer

Description The Firmware Engineer will be part of a team that architects, designs, develops, and maintains hardware and software systems for audio products. Responsibilities include performing characterization, testing, validation of designs, analyzing results, and creating reports and presentations as needed. This role requires an energetic and innovative individual. Experience in a fast-paced, rapid development environment is highly desired. Domestic travel of 5-10% to/from LA/Silicon Valley may be required. Minimum Qualifications BS/MS in EE/CE or equivalent Experience with embedded development 4+ years of firmware and device driver development Strong coding skills in C and C++ Experience in software feature design, rapid prototyping, hardware bring-up, and reading schematics Experience with standard bus interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, USB) Experience with Real-Time OS (OpenRTOS, FreeRTOS, Zephyr, etc.) Familiarity with compilers and toolchains targeting ARM Cortex-M/R/A architectures Familiarity with laboratory tools such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multimeters Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Bluetooth (BT) and BLE protocols and technologies Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across multiple teams with minimal supervision At Apple, compensation includes base pay within a range, with opportunities for growth, bonuses, stock options, and benefits such as healthcare, retirement plans, discounts, and educational reimbursement. The base pay range for this role is $171,600 to $258,100, depending on skills and experience. Apple also offers stock programs, educational benefits, and other perks.
