The Front-end is the first and last impression customers have of our store. The Front-end Shift Supervisor must be enthusiastic, possess strong communication and people skills, and be able to keep morale high among staff, serve customers effectively, and maintain a welcoming environment. Key traits include good listening skills, leadership, empathy, self-motivation, supportiveness, and a sense of urgency.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Front-end Shift Supervisor assists the Customer Service Manager in supervising and coordinating activities of Front-end employees. Responsibilities include planning, assigning work, rewarding and disciplining staff, addressing complaints, and resolving problems. Specific duties include:Leading by example and modeling correct behavior.Performing cashier and courtesy clerk duties, including operating registers and assisting customers with carry-out service.Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas.Enforcing policies, including liquor and tobacco laws, verifying IDs, and ensuring legal compliance.Training and developing employees on store policies and procedures.Handling customer complaints and resolving issues to promote good relations.Performing cash register audits and balancing registers.Ensuring opening and closing procedures are followed, including safety checks and paperwork completion.Managing inventory and supplies, communicating needs to the manager.Enforcing safety standards and customer service policies.Providing excellent customer service and building relationships to encourage repeat business.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervises 8-18 employees in the Front-end Department, following company policies and legal requirements.Customer Service SkillsMust provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating a positive attitude, respect, and flexibility, exceeding customer expectations.Education and/or ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED; or 3-6 months related experience/training; or equivalent.Language SkillsAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.Mathematical SkillsAbility to perform basic math calculations, including discounts, percentages, and volume.Reasoning AbilitiesAbility to follow instructions, resolve conflicts, analyze situations, and implement solutions.Physical DemandsStanding for long periods, walking, using hands and wrists, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, with moderate noise levels.Why You’ll Love Working at Lazy Acres Natural MarketCompetitive weekly pay!Values-based culture supporting growth and prehensive training programs.Opportunities for advancement within our brands.Benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401K.Scholarship opportunities.20% discount at all Bristol Farms and Lazy Acres locations.$60 Shoes for Crews credit every 6 months. #J-18808-Ljbffr
