Its Class 3-7 autonomous box trucks are deployed in markets like Texas, Arkansas, and Ontario, Canada.About the role:We seek talented ML engineers with expertise in classical and modern machine learning techniques for behavior prediction. You will own and contribute to the architecture, design, implementation, and delivery of a multi-modal prediction system. The ideal candidate has overseen projects from R&D to product shipment and developing real-world solutions.This role is onsite at our Mountain View office.What you'll do:Develop key modules of the behavior prediction system, focusing on accurately predicting movements and actions of surrounding objects to improve autonomous vehicle decision-making.Create and maintain robust software infrastructure for large-scale image and LiDAR data processing, ensuring seamless integration and high performance.Design and implement optimized pipelines for data pre-processing, model training, post-processing, and inference, prioritizing efficiency and scalability.Train advanced behavior prediction models such as LSTM, Transformer, and others. Evaluate performance, identify bottlenecks, and achieve state-of-the-art results.Build scalable training and evaluation tools to support continuous model improvement and rapid iteration.Collaborate with engineers to integrate behavior prediction systems into the autonomous driving stack and perform system tests for reliability and safety.What we're looking for:Strong experience with machine learning, especially in behavior prediction for autonomous driving.Familiarity with models like LSTM, Transformer, and relevant architectures.Proficiency in Python and C++.Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.Knowledge of large-scale data processing and cloud platforms.Excellent problem-solving skills and teamwork ability.Autonomous driving or robotics experience is a plus.More about Gatik:Headquartered in Mountain View, CA, with offices in Canada, Texas, and Arkansas, Gatik sets new standards in autonomous trucking.
