The initial role will be about 50/50 individual contribution to technical leadership, responsible for both shaping the roadmap for our infrastructure as well as contributing to the implementation.If you are passionate about optimizing infrastructure at scale and have a strong background in security engineering, this role is for you.What will you do?This is a high-impact role that comes with significant autonomy and requires a self-driven, collaborative person. You will be focused on managing our infrastructure and security processes, and should be able to:Work closely with a customer success manager to manage enterprise deployments and SSO integrationsWork closely with application developers to deploy infrastructure solutions to product problemsAutomate new software deployments, data backups, and data recoveryMonitor and improve the performance and availability of our cloud infrastrutureTake part in an on-call rotation and incident responseManage process for SOC 2 compliance & pentestingExample projectsScale out our infrastructure for zero-downtime software deploymentsIdentify opportunities to decrease cloud cost and increase performanceStress-test backups and disaster recoveryCoordinate with customer success to support enterprise configuration (Eg. SSO)Work with development team to support CI/CD workflowsManage process for SOC 2 accreditationSupport future hiring and team organizationOur stackTerraform & Docker Swarm deployed to AWS for production infrastructureGrafana, Loki, and Prometheus for observabilityGitHub Actions for CI/CDPlaywright for e2e testingGitea application forkgo [server-side]Postgres DBExpectationsOur ideal candidate should have the following:8+ years of cloud infrastructure experienceAvailability to work out of our flex offices in San Francisco or Boston on a hybrid basis (2-3 times/week)Bachelor's degree or higher in a technology-related fieldProject management skills with ability to lead and collaborate with varied stakeholders, from engineers to customers, to move projects forwardExperience managing software projects using tools such as JIRA, Notion, or a similar issue-tracking systemCan think in terms of the big picture but deliver on the detailsAbility to manage ambiguity gracefully, autonomy, and confidence in being self-directedRelevant skillsYou don’t necessarily have to be proficient in all of these, but the more you know the better:Hiring and Project ManagementAWS services (eg.
