Whether you’re an experienced attorney or a quick learner with a strong interest in financial law coupled with critical thinking skills, our dynamic group might be right for you.ROLE OVERVIEWGBM Legal is seeking to fill a vice president level position within the America’s Confidentiality Agreements team. We are looking for a strong communicator who can effectively manage a variety of tasks and oversee processes that are essential to the businesses we support.Examples of primary day-to-day responsibilities include:Draft, review and negotiate Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreements (“NDAs”), Third Party Access/Non-Reliance Letters (“NRLs”) and related agreementsManage outside counsel with their review of the firm’s confidentiality agreements, providing guidance on substantive issues and answering outside counsel questionsPrepare and routinely update guidance for the review of NDAs, NRLs and related agreements covering the various business lines which the team supportsPrepare quarterly and annual metrics reportsRoutinely communicate with and respond to questions from internal business, including advising such businesses on the terms of existing NDAs, NRLs or related agreementsCollaborate with product legal attorneys and other legal professionalsInterface with personnel in Compliance and the Conflicts Resolution Group to ensure any applicable policies are adhered to in complying with the terms of the relevant NDA, NRL or other related agreementBasic QualificationsJD preferred4+ years of experience working at a law firm or corporate legal departmentKnowledge of investment banking, brokerage industry, capital markets and/or securities products preferredExperience drafting and negotiating contractsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and ExcelAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced and, at times, pressured environmentTeam-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability; must be comfortable being independent and a self-starterStrong project management and organizational skills; accurate and detail-orientedAbility to drive a task to completion by partnering across teams and navigating obstaclesAbility to balance multiple projects with varying deadlinesABOUT GOLDMAN SACHSAt Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
