OverviewBilingual Spanish Group CounselorHealthcare staff can work anywhere… The BEST work with US!$5,000 Sign-on bonus!Monday-Friday (7am-3pm)Salary: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00A nationally recognized comprehensive Health and Human Services Agency, with over 60 programs across New York City and the greater New York Area.Samaritan Daytop Village serves over 33,000 New Yorkers annually within your neighborhoods and communities, so our success depends on those we employ.The RoleUnder general direction, the Group Facilitator will be responsible for facilitating treatment groups and educational workshops, including maintaining all required documentation. This work supports the mission and goals of Samaritan Daytop Village.ResponsibilitiesWhat You Will DoDevelop treatment plans in collaboration with the Program Director or Clinical Supervisor, reflecting an understanding of specialized issues related to physical, medical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs, as well as specific diagnoses.Ensure groups start on time and run as scheduled.Facilitate group counseling, family sessions, and encounter groups as requested.Use the agency’s Electronic Health Record to input client participation information promptly, including planning and progress notes, and complete all paperwork per OASAS regulations and agency standards.Facilitate crisis intervention when needed.Implement strategies to increase patient participation.Follow multidisciplinary treatment recommendations incorporated into treatment form counseling staff of relevant clinical concerns about patients that arise during group sessions.Participate actively and take leadership in Treatment Plan Reviews and Case Conferences.QualificationsWho You Will BeCASAC-T certification required; CASAC preferred.High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree preferred.Bilingual Spanish required.1-2 years of experience facilitating groups within an 822 Opioid Treatment Program.Knowledge and/or training in Trauma-Informed Care and organizational treatment strategies.Experience working with persons with co-occurring disorders.Knowledge of laws regarding personnel and client information.Understanding of Client Rights and Code of Ethics.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records.Experience working with diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. #J-18808-Ljbffr
