The Corporate Counsel will play a critical role in developing, implementing and managing various ethics and compliance activities.Specific responsibilities may include:Advising on legal and regulatory developments and enforcement environmentsDeveloping and implementing legal strategies and managing the Company’s actions in relation to key compliance activitiesCollaborating across all parts of the business to provide effective legal advice to the CompanyAnalyzing information from various sources and conducting risk assessments to advise the Company on compliance risks and opportunitiesWorking with and managing external lawyers and services providers where necessaryBriefing senior managementWe are seeking a candidate with the following skills:Excellent written and oral communications, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, risk assessment and negotiation skillsStrong work ethic and collaborative approachHighest standards of integrityAbility to balance multiple, competing prioritiesAbility to learn new subject matter areas quickly and in detailJob Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:Juris Doctor degreeAbility to become a member of the Virginia Bar or licensed Virginia corporate counselAt least eight years of relevant experienceExperience working in or with federal regulatory and enforcement agenciesProven experience assessing and advising on legal risks and opportunitiesAbility to obtain and hold a U.S. DoD security clearancePreferred Qualifications:Experience with government contractsExperience supporting clients in the defense and/or intelligence communitiesExperience across multiple regulatory and/or enforcement areasExperience coordinating significant, complex projectsFamiliarity with antitrust lawSalary Range: $221,600 - $318,600The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
