Director of Music – Trinity Arlington

Trinity Presbyterian Church (TPC) in Arlington, VA is seeking a Director of Music for a salaried, 30-hour per week exempt position starting January 2026 and reporting to the Pastor/Head of Staff. Compensation will be $70,000 – $80,000 per year, with benefits depending on experience. TPC is a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA) with a congregation of nearly 500 members. The Director of Music plans and leads a music program that aligns with the liturgy and practices of our congregation. This is a leadership role requiring collaboration, creativity, and musical excellence.Our mission is to:· CONNECT in meaningful ways,· GROW in our faith,· SERVE those in need, and· EXPERIENCE God’s presence in our daily livesKey Responsibilities:· Work collaboratively with the Senior Pastor, Contemporary Worship Leader, and others to select and prepare instrumental and choral music for regular and special worship services.· Direct the Adult Choir and Handbell Choir and accompany the Contemporary Band on the keyboard.· Select and coordinate contract vocalists and instrumentalists for services and special events.· Oversee the care and maintenance of all church-owned musical instruments, including the an:Holtkamp Organ, dedicated on January 15, 1984, is a mechanical action keyboard with electric stop action and 25 ranks.
