Job Title:Postdoc position in ultrasound neuromodulation at UCSFJob Number: 103824Location: San Francisco,USJob DescriptionThe [Please click the Apply button for the link or email] at UCSF is looking for a highly motivated postdoc to work on an NIH-funded project to investigate the mechanisms of ultrasound neuromodulation across scales, from neurons to brain-wide networks. Experience in one or more of the following areas is required:ultrasound neuromodulationfiber photometrychemo/optogeneticsfunctional neuroimagingsystems neuroscienceWe are affiliated with the UCSF Departments of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and Radiology & Biomedical Imaging. Our lab is located in the Weill Institute for Neurosciences on the Mission Bay campus in San Francisco. Our research is focused on developing cutting-edge technologies for ultrasound neuromodulation, functional ultrasound imaging, and image-guided neurointervention. UCSF is a highly collaborative environment, and our lab is part of the fast-growing Focused Ultrasound in Neuroscience program, a multi-department effort that brings together investigators working on clinical, translational, and basic science applications of focused ultrasound in neuropsychiatry. The program offers outstanding opportunities to establish collaborations with clinical scientists.Candidates should have received a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a relevant field such as Neuroscience, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other closely related field by the time the position starts; should have a strong track record of research accomplishments; and should have prior experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, Matlab). This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a diverse and interdisciplinary team.
