OverviewThe RiverSource Director - National Elite Practice Sales Annuities is a sales professional with strong leadership and relationship building skills, annuity product knowledge and sales experience. Engage high potential Ameriprise Franchise Group (AFG) practices and be responsible for implementing end-to-end execution of an annuity sales process. Includes case identification, development, meeting preparation, conducting POS, submitting new business, tracking and placing new business, and servicing policies.Key ResponsibilitiesCase development: drive sales by developing, maintaining, and deepening the use of annuity solutions using a consultative quality sales process over the phone with some in-person travel. Use a suite of digital tools to create illustrations that support recommendations that come out of consultative sales conversations with advisors.Leadership: lead engagement plans for high potential AFG practices to drive the scalable implementation of appropriate annuity solutions for clients. Lead the relationship management between lead advisors, support staff, RiverSource wholesalers, and the field leadership team. Travel to AFG practices to manage key partner relationships.Administrative: support corporate initiatives by maintaining knowledge base about key Ameriprise initiatives and assisting in their execution. Manage and develop systems to create efficiencies (scheduling/rotations, meeting preparation & follow-up, recognizing advisor sales, budget management, etc.). Prioritize and manage daily, weekly, and monthly plete required coursework in order to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and licenses.Required QualificationsAbility to travel (up to 25%).Minimum 7 years of annuity sales experience.Excellent interpersonal, presentation and problem solving skills.Experience working with consultative sales process.Upon hire, obtain Territory States Securities & Territory Insurance License (Health, Life & Variable).History of partnering with financial professionals to drive sales.Demonstrated ability to integrate annuity products into comprehensive financial plan. Expertise in risk management, financial planning, estate planning, business markets and case development.Proven ability to establish rapport and credibility quickly with advisors, clients, and field leaders.Preferred QualificationsExpertise in portfolio management and design.Previous experience working on an investment committee.CFA, CIMA, and/or CFP designations.About Our CompanyWe’re a diversified financial services leader with more than $1.5 trillion in assets under management, administration and advisement as of 2024. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location.
