Job Summary: The VP, Sales provides effective leadership and management of HOLT Truck Centers Sales’ strategy, resources, and operations.The VP, Sales has responsibilities of increasing profitable revenue, managing assets, and maximizing market share. The role provides leadership, mentoring, and coaching to Managers ensuring safe and efficient operational processes are implemented and executed across the business in support of business goals and in alignment with the company’s vision, values and mission.The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2)Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.Essential Functions:Hires, develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS)Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and MissionDevelop, monitor, promote and implement annual business plans for HOLT Truck Centers Sales’ operations to maintain stability and profitable growth for the division while meeting market share objectivesEvaluate, allocate and control resources (financial, technical, and physical) of HOLT Truck Centers Sales’ division to optimize ROA and meet the balanced needs of all stakeholder groupsDevelop, communicate, implement, and monitor operational practices (structure, systems, competencies, and processes) to provide legendary customer service, maximize productivity and efficiency, and attain established goals and objectivesWorks safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standardsPerforms other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Expert technical aptitude and understanding of the heavy equipment and trucking industryDemonstrated skills in planning, budgeting, and project management directed toward achievement of business goals, requiring strong understanding of financial performance reportsAbility to lead and implement key strategic projects that have significantly improved the profit and growth trajectory of a businessGenuinely interested in exponentially growing the Company’s business and transforming its operations for successful longevityAbility to build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, fleet managers, and OEM partnersDemonstrated ability to ensure CRM systems and sales processes are optimized for accuracy and efficiencyDriven and results oriented; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Travel:Up to 50% travel, to include overnight staysValid driver’s licensePhysical Requirements:This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situationsThis role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machinesMust be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigueThe ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objectsFrequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.Constant movement and use of limbs;
