JOB PURPOSE:Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing/Regional General Manager and Ownership, you will be responsible for providing sales and administrative support to the Sales team to ensure the smooth operation of the department. This position will oversee some hotels in the San Francisco Market, both franchised and non-franchised properties.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Coordinate sales calls and client appointmentsSolicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits, sales tours, and networking in the local communityPrepare quotes and contracts for clientsTravel within the local area to develop customer accounts and drive business into the specific hotel/cluster, increasing market and customer share in all revenue streamsCoordinate site inspections as requiredRepresent the hotel professionally at industry tradeshows, conferences, and adhere to budget and marketing plan guidelinesMaintain hotel and Sales & Marketing databasesConduct research and competitive analysis to compile reportsAssist with Sales & Marketing projectsReport any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager or assistant managerBe flexible to work shifts as business demands requireWork collaboratively with all departments to ensure proper group arrival, stay, and departureServe as the point of contact for non-direct calls into the executive office/sales, directing leads to appropriate sales and catering managersAttend property staff meetings and other meetings as requested by managementManage and update BEOsPerform other duties as assigned by managementMust be able to travelQUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:Essential:High School diploma or equivalent work experienceAt least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in hospitalityProven ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentProfessional communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlinesAttention to detail in administration and data entryProficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Experience with Lightspeed, Opera, Fosse, Merlin, Delphi, or STS systems is a plusExceptional grooming and personal brandingComputer literacyInitiative, guest service orientation, and decision-making skillsTyping speed of at least 40 words per minuteBasic mathematical skillsCalm, courteous, and attentive to guest needsAbility to work under pressure and coordinate multiple requestsTeamwork and collaboration skillsFlexible scheduleAbility to schedule services for individualsSelf-supervised work capabilityEffective communication skills for instructions and assistance requests #J-18808-Ljbffr
