Sr Cybersecurity Engineer

OverviewS2 Global, an OSI Systems Company, is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer for its Torrance, CA location. This onsite role involves supporting border protection and transportation security products.S2 Global specializes in security screening solutions, offering expertise in program assessment, technology deployment, operation management, image analysis, and maintenance services at major events, ports, land borders, and air cargo facilities. The company focuses on Operations, Integration, and Training to enhance screening capabilities with advanced technologies.ResponsibilitiesAssess and define cybersecurity design requirements for the S2 Global CertScan Integration Platform and related hardware/software within a standardized security framework.Educate product design staff and stakeholders on cybersecurity's impact on product design and support.Develop and document innovative solutions to secure and support networked products used in diverse settings over long periods.Analyze, report, and manage security risks, including corrective actions, risk registers, and security improvements.Assist in developing product test protocols for vulnerability assessment, working with engineering teams to recommend remediation strategies.Help product engineering teams understand test results and identify remediation techniques.Lead efforts to assess vulnerabilities to emerging threats, identifying root causes and remediation strategies, and communicate findings internally and externally.Support standardized security processes, preparing SOPs and protocols to ensure product security throughout its lifecycle.Uphold company values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork, and adhere to the Code of Ethics and Conduct.Report quality issues or defects for corrective action.Perform other duties as needed to meet business requirements.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.10-15 years of IT security experience.Ability to obtain US federal background check/clearance; US citizenship required.Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, CCNA Security, GIAC, or equivalent.Familiarity with security standards like NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and US government ATO processes.Experience in security controls assessment, vulnerability testing, and risk management.Proven leadership in cybersecurity projects from inception to completion.Excellent communication skills in English, capable of working in a global, multi-time zone environment with 50% travel.Previous DoD contractor or ISSM experience preferred.For more details, review our benefits and company policies.
