We foster a culture where every associate feels welcomed and respected, inspiring leaders and creatives to shape the future by taking bold action today.Job MissionThe Principal Collaborations Communications Engineer is responsible for designing, operating, and managing Microsoft Teams Direct Routing and enterprise voice infrastructure across New Balance’s global offices. This role ensures seamless collaboration through administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Teams and related unified communications technologies, spanning on-premises and cloud environments.Major ResponsibilitiesManage infrastructure including Microsoft Teams, Direct Routing, session border controllers (SBCs), Telco gateways, load balancers, and SQL servers.Configure and support enterprise voice routing, PSTN connectivity, MS Teams Rooms, Surface Hubs, SIP paging systems, analog gateways, and video conferencing tools.Develop and enforce UC usage policies, governance, and system integrity standards.Manage UC integrations with Office 365, Exchange, Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, PKI, SharePoint, and AV/contact center systems.Diagnose and resolve call quality issues, system incidents, and service requests within SLAs, tracking performance and implementing remediations.Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, test plans, and reports.Mentor junior IT staff and collaborate with global teams, partners, and vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery.Requirements for SuccessBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; 8–12 years of IT experience, with 5+ years in Microsoft Teams and UC technologies.Deep knowledge of Microsoft Teams, SfB (2015+), Office 365, and M365 ecosystem.Extensive experience with VoIP, SIP trunking, Direct Routing, Operator Connect, E911, QoS, LBR, AA, and CQ.Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, policy management, and regex.Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, Kerberos, DSCP, and network security protocols.Experience with SBCs (e.g., Ribbon/Sonus), analog gateways, SIP phones, and conferencing systems.Familiarity with Windows Server (2016+), IIS, and Microsoft Intune.Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Self-motivated, detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple fortable working with diverse, global teams and flexible schedules.BenefitsWe offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, online learning, tuition reimbursement, student loan support, mentorship programs, lifestyle reimbursement, vacation, holidays, and parental leave.
