OverviewJoin to apply for the Staff Data Engineer role at Lendistry.A Day in the LifeThe Staff Data Engineer will be responsible for driving architectural design, improving platform features, and serving as a strategist in key design and architecture initiatives. They will display a broad knowledge in cloud and deep knowledge in data engineering. As part of a small team of highly skilled data engineers, they will have significant responsibility in crafting, developing, and maintaining Lendistry’s large-scale ETL pipelines, storage, and processing services.The Staff Data Engineer should have strong experience with data infrastructure, data architecture, ETL, SQL, automation, data frameworks, and processes to rapidly integrate disconnected and disparate data sources into automated datasets for analyst's consumption. The individual will also have a proven track record working with enterprise metrics, strong operational skills to drive efficiency and speed, expertise building repeatable data engineering processes, strong project management skills, and a vision for how to deliver data products. Join us as we pave the way with innovative financing and financial education!What You’ll Be DoingDesign, develop and maintain a highly scalable multi-tenant data warehouse supporting high volume & variety of data.Lead the integration of a wide range of streaming and batch data sources in the warehouse using open source and AWS services.Build infrastructure that supports a consistent, repeatable automated ML (Machine Learning) model journey through dev, test, and production.Be the subject matter expert for data, pipeline design, and other related big data and programming technologies.Proactively identify reliability & data quality problems and drive triaging and remediation process.Evaluate various technologies and platforms in open source and proprietary products. Execute proof of concept on recent technology and tools to pick the best tools and solutions.Work together with the application team to deliver reliable change data capture in a streaming fashion.Your Areas of Knowledge and ExpertiseS/M.S. in Computer Sciences or equivalent field, with 8+ years total experience2+ years of relevant experience with Cloud Warehouses and AWS.Solid understanding of OLAP/OLTP and data lake concepts and distributed data processing patterns.Expertise in programming pipelines in SQL and Python.
