OverviewMartin/Martin, Inc. is looking for an experienced structural engineer to join our San Francisco-Larkspur, California office. This engineer will have the opportunity for structural design on both local and national projects in markets such as healthcare, commercial, office, sports, entertainment, education, and residential.About Martin/Martin, Inc.Martin/Martin, Inc. is a civil, structural, and investigative engineering firm, headquartered in the Denver area, built on experience and industry leadership cultivated since the 1940s. Our skilled structural engineering teams provide custom solutions for new constructions and expansions, with a strong record in notable projects like Coors Field. Our civil engineering teams focus on site and infrastructure design, currently leading projects such as the 16th Street Mall redesign in Denver. Lastly, our investigative engineers are pivotal in supporting ongoing projects by planning and implementing repairs, renovations, and improvements for buildings and sites. With nine office locations and a staff of 370, Martin/Martin engineers regularly perform work across the United States and internationally.This position plans, budgets, schedules, manages, and designs projects from start of design through end of construction. These projects will typically be larger and/or more complex, taking advantage of his/her skills and experience. Involved in the firm/'s marketing effort to cultivate existing and develop future clients. Developing advanced technical skills in specific areas. Duties vary based on discipline listed in title.Examples Of ResponsibilitiesAssists in conceptual designPrepares or assists in fee determination and proposal preparationLeads project initiation, management, and closeout processesEstablishes and follows a QA/QC plan for each projectMentors direct reports and assists in their career developmentAttends project meetings and represents company during design and constructionParticipates in billing and collection effortsOther duties as assignedWorking Conditions/Skills/AbilitiesThis position is primarily technical in nature and requires working inside and outside the office to complete a wide range of activities. The following abilities are required:Move inside or outside the office and on non-ADA accessible construction sitesRemain stationary for long periods of timeRepetitive movement on tasks such as using a keyboard or mouseCarry, ascend, and descend a ladderIdentify colorRead, communicate, and document in EnglishDetermine and exchange accurate informationOccasionally move or hold equipment weighing up to 50 poundsInvestigative: Position self in atypical environments and small, confined spacesRequirementsRequired QualificationsBachelor/'s degree in engineering or architecture from an ABET accredited engineering/architecture curriculumCivil: Completed a minimum of 3 years as a Project EngineerStructural and Investigative: Completed a minimum of 2 years as a Project Engineer/Architect and 9 years progressive engineering/architectural experience (MSCE/MSAE or MS Arch counts as 1 year.
