Apply via Dice today!DescriptionRESPONSIBILITIESWork with product owners & the development team to translate comprehensive business requirements into effective, high-performance databasesModel, design, develop, and deploy database solutions supporting company initiativesOptimize existing processes, review top resource-intensive queries, and suggest ways to improve performanceDesign and prepare migration processes between data models and environmentsAssist in implementation and management of database securityMaintain and contribute to product and change management documentationConduct SQL Server lunch-and-learn sessions and participate in other training initiatives for application developers and usersResearch, evaluate, and recommend new tools, database designs, and processes surrounding data managementRespond to ad hoc requests for database support or tasksParticipate in multiple projects running simultaneously and manage evolving timelinesOn-call troubleshooting for SQL Server issues and service outagesQualificationsWorking presence in the DC or Chicago metro areasBachelor's Degree preferred (Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or other technical degree desired but equivalent experience may be considered)Professional experience as a database administrator, database developer, or data architect utilizing Microsoft SQL ServerThorough knowledge of database design principles (usability, extensibility, data integrity, performance, availability, and security)Extensive familiarity with writing and improving SQL Server T-SQL queriesExperience with both OLAP and OLTP systems, and knowledge of best practices within eachExperience with source control (git) desiredFamiliarity with Entity Framework preferredExperience working with multi-tenant database applications desiredAbility to learn new technologies quickly and provide technical guidance as neededQuick adaptability in an existing, complex environmentStrong communication and problem-solving skillsBe able to meet deadlines in a fast paced and dynamic environmentBe a self-motivated, results-driven, and detail-oriented member of the teamExperience in a consulting atmosphere is a plusRequirementsMicrosoft SQL Server, Microsoft SQL, ETL - Extract Transform Load, Stored Procedures, T-SQL - Transact-SQLTechnology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
