Senior Software Engineer

Join to apply for the Senior Software Engineer role at ASCENDING Inc. Position: Full Time / FTE Location: Onsite 4 days/week in Fairfax, VA (Mosaic District) We are growing! ASCENDING Inc. has doubled its revenue for the 3rd year in a row. Our main technical delivery manager and technical co-founder is running out of bandwidth to manage all current professional services projects. We are seeking a strong, experienced candidate with 4+ years of software development and DevOps experience who can learn about our projects and eventually manage teams and deliver for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a degree in computer science, proficiency in Java, Python, and/or C#, and experience working in AWS environments with a deep understanding of AWS services. Consulting experience and direct stakeholder/end client management skills are essential, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must Have: Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, or math At least one year in a consulting role or capable of hands-on technical work and stakeholder management Strong fundamentals in software engineering and/or DevOps, capable of working from scratch if needed Extensive experience in software engineering with proficiency in object-oriented programming in Python or Java Expertise in developing applications in AWS and extensive experience with AWS services Significant experience with DevOps practices Additional Details: Seniority level: Associate Employment type: Full-time Job function: Information Technology Industries: IT Services and IT Consulting Referrals can increase your chances of interviewing at ASCENDING Inc. by 2x.
