Director of Information Technology is a results-driven individual with experience in the field of information technology, which includes software, systems, and equipment. This individual will lead and manage the Firm’s technology department, which presently consists of workflow developers, application developers, systems administrators, systems analysts, help desk technicians, and third-party technology vendors (collectively the “IT Team”).DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLead the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships, and external relationshipsDevelop technology standards and practices that adhere to internal and third-party mandates and ensure ongoing adherenceTrack, analyze, manage, and achieve technology performance related to the IT Team, projects, systems, software, and equipmentManage and maintain the Firm’s complex virtualized network across the Firm’s geographic footprintDevelop and mentor the IT Team and identify areas of opportunityJoin the Firm’s Executive Management Team and be the spokesperson to the group related to all things concerning the Firm’s technology departmentTake the initiative in though leadership, innovation, and creativityKeep abreast of new trends and best practices in the technology landscapeLook for opportunities to simplify the designs, operations, and deployment plans; reduce complexity while providing performance, agility, and scalabilityMaintains quality of service by establishing and enforcing organization standardsMaintain a near 100% network uptime across all critical systems and applicationsObtain a general overview of all other departments within the Firm and be able to function/communicate effectively among the departments in order to deliver business analysisPreserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structuresManagers third-party vendors related to information systems and technologiesMaintains network system and all forms of network storageManage an enforce industry leading data security and retention practicesOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSBachelor's degree or higher level of education in (Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or related) is a mustMaster’s degree or MBA preferred.AWS experience preferred8 + years of IT Management8+ years of IT project management experience8+ years of Network Engineering experience4+ years of Virtualization experience4+ years network performance tuningSQL experienceHands-on experience with implementation, design, monitoring, and troubleshooting in large scale distributed systems and networksExperience and understanding of how to drive effectiveness and efficiency through automation and infrastructure-as-codeSharp assessment skills with the ability to decipher “wants” versus “needs” and comfortable negotiating prioritization accordinglyExperience driving project teams, identifying milestones and tracking deliverablesSelf-organize and experience driving cross-functional efforts with external teamsSee a problem or opportunity, take ownership and act on it independentlyExperience working with Mitel and telephone integration with call recording andother third-party applications are a plusLaw Firm experience is a plusClaims platform experience is a plusExperience with Commercial Legal Software is a plusTRAVEL – This position requires up to 10% travel.
