They will oversee project planning, ensure best practices, and mentor team members. Responsibilities include aligning technical efforts with business goals and fostering collaboration across teams. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS and Databricks, and be able to drive deliverables as they align to organizational goalsWhat You'll DoManage multiple scrum teams comprised of both software and quality engineers, helping them succeed in their careers and day-to-day workHave a passion for leading teams to produce high-quality productsCoach and mentor our teams to improve both their technical skills and business acumenEnsure teams meet their shared and individual goals to achieve business successBe willing to roll up your sleeves and work to solve issues with your teamsOversee team execution, performance, and timely delivery based on company prioritiesMaintain a high standard of quality and security across our deployed productsHave a customer-oriented approach to software deliveryCollaborate closely with our Product Manager to align the team to meet business goalsConduct performance assessments and manage compensation and career growthEnsure that coding, quality, and security best practices are being followedEnsure our teams of engineers are aligned with the business missionExcellent time management and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to use good judgment and make strong independent decisionsDemonstrates an inspirational attitude that contributes to a positive team environmentAbility to analyze and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, management, and other stakeholdersWhat You'll BringExperience in coaching, mentoring, and overall performance management of both developers and quality engineersExpert-level knowledge of Jira and project management in a Scrum/Agile environmentExperience delivering systems in a micro-service or service-oriented architectureExperience deploying systems into cloud platforms (AWS preferred)Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Databricks for building and maintaining ETL pipelines, managing Delta Lake storage, running large-scale Apache Spark jobs, and integrating machine learning workflowsProven ability to work closely with application development teams to design, optimize, and integrate Databricks solutions into production systemsExperience using AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) to move and synchronize data from on-premises or cloud-based sources into AWS for downstream processing in DatabricksExperience with MLOps deployments, including model training, versioning, monitoring, and automated CI/CD pipelines for ML modelsFamiliarity with common MLOps tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, Apache Airflow, AWS SageMaker, and AWS Step FunctionsProficiency with data storage and processing tools that integrate with Databricks, such as Delta Lake, Apache Spark, and KafkaExperience designing and implementing web crawlers for data collection and processing at scale (e.g., using Scrapy, BeautifulSoup, Selenium, or Playwright)Must possess and consistently exhibit the competencies relative to the positionStrong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to lead discussions in diverse groups of varying sizesIn addition to competitive salaries, full-time employees enjoy a great benefits package:Multiple Medical plans (one with $0 employee premium option), Dental & Vision plans401k with company match and immediate vestingGenerous paid time off package and 11 paid holidaysAnd much more!If you got to this point, we hope you're feeling excited about the job description you just read.
