Role and Scope of Position:The Senior Engineer will work with complex systems and equipment, providing engineering and technical services to support our growing LNG organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to work both in the office and in the field on various projects.Areas of expertise include planning, development, scheduling, and performing engineering assignments related to the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of LNG and LPG facilities. The engineer will ensure these facilities operate safely, reliably, and in compliance with regulations and industry standards. Responsibilities include applying engineering practices, supporting supervisory on-call duties, and aligning with Eversource’s mission and values.Essential Functions:Design systems or installations aligned with company objectives, adhering to industry standards and regulations.Develop plant systems including gas pretreatment, liquefaction, cryogenic storage, utilities, firewater, electrical, and control systems.Perform site layouts, prepare procurement and construction documents, specify and procure materials, and coordinate labor.Prepare projects for bidding, conduct bid meetings, evaluate bids, and initiate purchase orders.Develop and maintain field procedures to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.Coordinate construction activities with stakeholders and ensure safety and code compliance during construction.Review purchase requisitions and invoices; monitor project budgets and report variances.Mentor junior staff and review their work to promote standardization and project terpret applicable regulations and ensure all work complies with relevant codes.Identify and address unsafe conditions and environmental hazards, implementing corrective actions.Evaluate opportunities for technology improvements to reduce costs and environmental impact.Support budget development and project summaries for management.Coordinate resources to complete projects efficiently.Use gas flow equations and hydraulic software to design or modify gas piping systems.Implement gas compliance programs, including corrosion control and leak surveys.Assist in gas distribution system restoration during emergencies.Technical Knowledge/Skills/Education/Licenses/Certifications:Proven project leadership, coordination, and budget management skills.Ability to read P&ID diagrams and schematic drawings.Understanding of thermodynamics and cryogenics related to LNG.Extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and industry codes.Proficiency in computer applications.Deep knowledge of gas operations procedures.Self-motivated with minimal supervision.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong customer service orientation.Proven leadership skills.Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering.Experience: Minimum eight years in related engineering roles, with design experience preferred.Licenses & Certifications: P.E. license preferred.Working Conditions:Availability for emergency restoration work as needed.Willingness to travel within MA/CT/NH; valid driver’s license required.#gasajd#LI-KS1Compensation and Benefits:Competitive total rewards, with salary based on experience.
