The Solutions Architect focuses on the integration of the EDB Postgres Platform and other tools in the PostgreSQL ecosystem with the customer’s enterprise infrastructure to create highly available and resilient solutions, while providing technical guidance and leadership both to customers and colleagues.You'll be a leader in the following topic areas:Deep understanding of PostgreSQL replication in its different formsPostgreSQL configuration and performance tuningSecurity and Authentication, for example with Kerberos, Active Directory or LDAPHigh Availability, Backup, Recovery and Storage Management in PostgreSQLConfiguration Management Solutions, such as Ansible, Puppet or ChefPublic and private cloud solutions, such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenshiftWhat your impact will be:Work with customers to help them realize the value of EDB’s open source-based database platformCreate, articulate, and document a suite of reference architectures that illustrate the breadth of the EDB Postgres Platform in OLTP and OLAP applications under multiple deployment modelsSupport EDB’s field teams (sales engineers and account executives) in difficult technical and architectural situationsWork with EDB partners to create reference architectures that illustrate EDB Postgres in the context of the partner’s capabilitiesMentor junior team members and help them develop their technical skillsPublish blogs, white papers and conference contributionsCollaborate with Product Development and Product Management to further the capabilities of the EDB Postgres PlatformCollaborate with Product Marketing to articulate the capabilities of the EDB Product Platform and create technical marketing collateralWhat you will bring:8+ years of professional experience developing and deploying complex solutions in business environmentsAbility to understand customer needs and translate them into technical requirementsHands-on experience with leading deployment models (containers, virtual machines, hypervisors, Puppet, Chef, Salt, Ansible, etc.)Extensive hands-on experience with PostgreSQLPrior experience in a consulting or professional service environmentExcellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbalComfortable with domestic travel up to 20%What will give you an edge:Strong knowledge of vector databasesHands on experience with leading public cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure)Ability to speak additional languagesEDB is committed to supporting our employees' overall well being by offering a range of benefits and resources to promote a healthy work-life balance and wellness.
