Our experienced team of SREs and DevOps engineers powerfully brings together these two ecosystems to drive better observability, availability, and deployment velocity across organizations of all sizes.About the jobThe ideal candidate will be responsible for building and managing Linux/Unix systems on cloud instances, as well as ensuring all instances have good monitoring health. The candidate will be responsible for learning the Datadog platform, and how to implement its integrations on different systems as well as provide best practices consulting. We will provide assistance and training on the Datadog platform but the candidate must know their way around deploying Linux systems and using basic configuration management tools.What you'll do:Develop quality configurations in YAML and JSONWork closely with clients and team members from diverse backgrounds to deliver projectsBuild cloud and on-prem monitoring solutions for Infrastructure, APM, and LogsBuild grok patterns for custom logsModify code to send traces and subtraces to DatadogAnalyze and maintain existing software applicationsWrite custom scripts in shell, Python, PowerShellDesign highly scalable, testable configuration toolsWhat you have:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related fieldExperience with systems administrationLinux/Unix experience with on-prem or cloud systemsExperience working on multiple projects simultaneouslySelf-learner and eager to understand new technologiesExperience in a modern monitoring platform is a plusScripting/programming experience in shell, Python, Go, or PowerShell is a plusWillingness to work from our Boston office three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday)100% Employee Healthcare Coverage (Medical, Dental & Vision)Unlimited Paid Time Off (4-week minimum) (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity)Fitness & Commuter Subsidies availableSL & LT DisabilityRapDev is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
