This position requires experience with presenting, demonstrating, and supporting proof of concepts. This is a seasoned senior level system (solutions) architect engineer.Essential ResponsibilitiesInterface with internal and external customers, identify customer needsContribute to qualifying assigned opportunities, actively contribute to pursuit of the strategyLead the team in the overall systems solution offered to Grid Automation customersDesign comprehensive scalable, and interoperable solutions to meet customer needs, including integrated digital substations, centralized and distributed architecture incorporating hardware, software, and communication interfacesDesign solutions which are cyber-resilient, customer compliant, and budget optimizedDevelop, standardized and maintain solution architecture designs and drawingsCreate unique solution differentiators, aligned with market, addressing customer pain pointsDemonstrate value propositions through technical performance, total cost of ownership (TCO), and system wide benefitsInitiate proof-of-concept (PoC), Demos, Workshops and pilot project initiatives to showcase solution feasibility and benefitsLead deal structure development and maximize business product pull-through as well as support cross selling the broader GE portfolioWork closely with the North America sales teams as a key partner in the strategy development to create winning proposals which drive to meet or exceed the region’s orders planSupport market level pricing indicators and pricing strategySupport the proposal process improvement and proposal quality metricsSupport defining project materials and obtain vendor quotations as neededIdentify technical risks including new product development needs in conjunction with tendering team to secure necessary business commitments to mitigate any risksFollow all GEV Corporate and local policies and procedures including but not limited to Integrity, Diversity, Proprietary Information, Conflict of Interest, QMS and EHSPerform other related duties as required for success of this positionLead or participate in customer workshops, solution co-creation sessions, and deep-dive technical discussionsLead and/or support customer negotiations as requiredTravel in U.S. and Canada is required to support the Sales, Business Development and Proposal teams.Required QualificationsMaster’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 10 years of experience in similar role or senior project engineering roleOR knowledge level is comparable to equivalent of 20 years of experience in engineeringDesired CharacteristicsThis role requires significant experience in the Engineering/Technology & Systems (Solutions) Architecture and Design.High Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.Ability to influence and lead cross functional teamsExperience in developing complex systems proposalsStrong oral and written communication and presentation skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsFamiliarity with the use and function of Salesforce (SFDC) toolsHas ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. May guide others to consider a different point of viewFor US CandidatesThe base pay range for this position is 131,700.00 - 175,500.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% variable incentive bonus annually.
