Overview Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking an accomplished and visionary Software Development Director to lead the development and operational strategy for a new, business-critical service—Assurance Service. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of innovative cloud-based solutions focused on ensuring service reliability, compliance, and customer trust at global scale. Your leadership will empower a high-performing team to consistently deliver on ambitious objectives, fostering a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement. This hybrid role is based in either Seattle or Santa Clara, with regular in-office collaboration expected. Responsibilities Leading and developing a team responsible for building and operating the Assurance Service, ensuring delivery of high-quality, reliable, and compliant cloud infrastructure solutions. Driving strategic initiatives that align Assurance Service objectives with overall OCI business and technical goals. Nurturing a culture of excellence through talent coaching, career development, and promoting OCI’s core values. Defining and tracking clear performance indicators for both the team and the Assurance Service, ensuring accountability and consistent progress toward business outcomes. Partnering with product, security, and compliance leaders to navigate regulatory environments, anticipate industry trends, and maintain OCI’s leadership in secure cloud offerings. Championing operational and engineering best practices to maximize service availability, security, and customer trust. Ensuring seamless integration with OCI’s broader ecosystem, influencing architectural direction and cross-team collaboration. Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only. US: Hiring Range in USD from: $122,500 - $291,800 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral. Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation. 11 paid holidays Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
