Manager, Technical Delivery

OverviewThe Manager, Technical Delivery is responsible for the establishment, career & skills development, and performance of multiple, geographically diverse engineering teams. The teams may consist of software development engineers, quality engineers, and DevOps engineers, with the ability to build a healthy team culture and successfully deliver software products using Agile methodologies, modern tech stacks and processes.ResponsibilitiesPartner with business stakeholders to align product and engineering roadmaps. Manage the teams to ensure quality of deliverables are balanced with velocity and throughput expectations to ensure reasonable deliverable targets are met.Create a healthy culture of collaboration, innovation, and learning for the team, including key Agile concepts of Shift+Left, Shift+Right, and pairing of engineers to deliver highest quality work with optimal efficiencyEnsure engineering team deliverables are of highest possible code quality, are well tested, and meet the needs of the target consumerExpertly monitor software development, quality engineering, and DevOps industry trends, emerging technologies, and raise opportunities that will result in cost savings, increased revenue, and/or improved security or customer experience.Foster a collaborative, learning environment for team members. Mentor and motivate staff to achieve optimal performance results and a cohesive team alignment.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science or related field5 years of experience in software engineering, quality engineering, and/or DevOps5 years of experience working in an Agile software development methodology3 years of experience leading teamsPreferred Qualifications3 years of experience recruiting, onboarding, and managing teams, and doing performance coaching3 years of experience coding in an object-oriented development language and managing codeAbility to expertly monitor software development, quality engineering, and DevOps industry trends, emerging technologies, and raise opportunities that will result in cost savings, increased revenue, and/or improved security or customer experienceDetail-oriented, excellent communication skills and ability to build teams and positively influence culture modernization of tech stack, coding standards, a cohesive test automation strategy, and availability of CI/CD pipelineHighly organized, self-initiating, strong problem-solving skillsStrong understanding of test automation tools, coding tools, and continuous integration toolsWorking familiarity with REST APIsPrevious experience building out and modernizing CI/CD pipelines, implementing a test automation, or software coding standardsPrevious experience managing corporate budgets and cost centersWorking knowledge of relational databases such as MS SQL, and ability to create & execute queriesWorking experience with Atlassian products including, but not limited to, Confluence, JIRA, BitbucketExperience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, MS Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Additional Basic QualificationsMust be 18 years of age or olderBenefitsIn line with our commitment to employee wellbeing, our total rewards benefits package is designed to support the physical, financial, and emotional health of our employees, tailored to meet their unique and evolving needs.
