Ensure architectural quality and business value in IT investments. Evaluate business partner needs, align them to strategic priorities, and recommend innovative, competitive, and secure solutions for Uptime. Participate in all parts of the lifecycle, e.g., innovation, development, runtime. Collaborate with architects with other focus areas to find solutions that work well together, balancing many quality attributes within and across solutions, as well as aligning with IT security directives. Actively join the target architecture work for Uptime as part of the overall Volvo target architecture. Understand business drivers and capabilities needed to determine enterprise solution architecture and deliver solutions to support the organization’s targeted business outcomes. Develop the enterprise architecture for various projects, working closely with business, operations, application development, and security teams to deliver a cohesive and adaptable solution architecture. Maintain in-depth knowledge of the organization's technologies and architectures. Drive architectural activities such as roadmaps, application fitness exercises, and act as a Subject Matter Expert in business meetings.Who are you?Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field.Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:Utilizing Cloud Computing and PaaS;Migrating or re-architecting on-premise applications to cloud platforms;Developing software using agile and shift-left security methodologies;Utilizing modern integration technologies, including messaging and APIs; andArchitecting in a heterogeneous platform environment with solutions that span or integrate multiple platforms or technologies.Position reports to Greensboro, NC office.
