We collaborate, help, and mentor each other, and check in on our progress and blocks frequently.What We’re Looking ForAs a Senior Network Security Engineer you will be responsible for supporting, managing and designing the network/firewall infrastructure. This includes network/firewall infrastructure configure, manage, maintain and manage border security systems, such as threat protection intrusion detection URL filtering , global protect and support, monitor, and take care of existing configuration changes for Networks and responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures in AWS and local datacentersResponsibilities:Performs system-level design, configuration, integration, and implementation of perimeter security products, including firewalls (Palo-Alto & Fortinet), proxy devices, routers, and WAF solutionsEnsures compliance with organizational secularist rules and standardsAssist with monitoring and auditing of information systems activities and systems to confirm information security policy and provide management with security policy compliance assessments and system monitoring reportsidentify configuration or policy flaws and gaps that increase risk or violate information security requirementsPerform validation of the firewall rules to verify that it meets the requirementsProvide technical guidance and security policy regarding firewall design best practicesManaging upgrade patches for Palo Alto and Fortinet productsConfigure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS , IP routing - BGP)Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurationsMonitor performance and ensure system availability and reliabilityMonitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planningProvide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issuesWork within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructureSelect and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security teamLiaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem-resolutionQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in information technology-related field of study with a network engineering focusFortinet/Palo Alto certified – advantageStrong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware and firewallsAbility to think through problems and visualize solutionsAbility to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, controllersKnowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocolsAbility to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systemsAbility to work with all levels of IT staffGood analytical and problem-solving skillsDependable and flexible when necessaryNetwork security experienceLAN and WAN experienceSalary Range: $180,000.00 - $230,000.00Cross River is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
