We leverage AWS extensively, running thousands of instances and over 100 internal services. As we continue to grow, you’ll play a key role in managing and enhancing our data infrastructure, developing solutions that drive business value and technical excellence.What You’ll DoDesign, build, and launch new data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processesDevelop and optimize data models and pipelines for large-scale dataEnsure data privacy, security, and compliance for your areas of ownershipSupport and enhance existing production processesCollaborate with data infrastructure teams to resolve issues and implement loggingWork with terabyte to petabyte scale dataWhat You’ll BringRelevant experience as a data/software engineerStrong skills in Python, Scala, SQL, and scriptingExperience with Databricks, EMR, Hadoop, and Spark (PySpark)Proficiency in cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure)Solid background in data modeling, ETL, and database designExcellent analytical, numerical, and communication skillsBachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Math, or related fieldAt Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet.
