Project Engineer (Preston Pipelines Infrastructure)

Preston Pipelines Infrastructure is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team specializing in underground utility and civil construction projects. In this role, you will work closely with project managers, field crews, and clients to support all aspects of project execution. You will play a vital part in ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining the high standards of quality and service that have made Preston a trusted industry leader.Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000ResponsibilitiesReviews project plans, specifications, standard specifications, and soils reportReview EstimateReview project budgetPerform materials take off; verify all SOV estimated quantitiesContact Subs, Material Suppliers, and Truckers required for projectAssist Project Manager to prepare purchase orders and subcontract agreements and logsAssist Project Manager to prepare SWPP plans, traffic plans, excavation plans, JHA’s, MOP’s, etc., as requiredAssist Project Manager Prepare all Submittals and logsPrepare and Review project video and pictures prior to start of construction for any changes in conditions that are not noted on project plansUSA job sites, refresh USA as needed, and maintain logDistribute plans & specs. to subcontractorsCoordinate with Project Manager job related materials delivery in a timely mannerCoordinate with subcontractors for timely coordinationAttend job start meeting with PM, Estimator, PE, Superintendent, and Foreman (if available), prior to job startMaintain a three week look ahead schedule that is resource loaded in coordination with PM and superintendentAttend weekly job site meetings, as requiredProcess and analyze project reports and production to determine deviations and potential change ordersTrack extra work labor hours, equipment hours, and materials used on projectsReview daily timecards from field personnel and ensure accuracy and approvalsMaintain project red-line as-builtsWork with PM to ensure project is conforming to project specifications at all timesFoster good relations with project ownerWork and communicate closely with Superintendents and Foreman to ensure a successful projectMaintain project pictures for PPI recordsCoordinate with PM to submit all close out documents including as-builts, warranty letters, O&M manuals, etc. required to complete the projectDo whatever it takesBenefitsMedical InsuranceVision InsuranceDental InsuranceLife Insurance401kEscalating PTO #J-18808-Ljbffr
