Your primary responsibility will include engaging with both US and International Government customers to understand and fulfill their mission needs. Familiarity with link budgets, Space Vehicle SE and SE fundamentals will help you lead the design and integration of advanced satellite and ground communication systems. Your expertise in RF/Optical systems and government controlled environments will be crucial in ensuring optimal performance, while your commitment to security and compliance will safeguard sensitive information. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers, drive technical innovation, and manage multiple high-impact projects, contributing significantly to our mission of providing advanced communication solutions through our broadband proliferated LEO constellation.A day in the lifeIn this role, you will be involved in collaborating with government customers to understand their system needs, use cases and operational scenarios, designing and optimizing engineering budgets, and integration of advanced communication systems. You'll conduct technical analyses, troubleshoot issues, and ensure security and compliance standards are met. Mentoring junior engineers, you will serve as technical lead, brainstorm innovative solutions, work with hardware and software integration, and manage and balance multiple projects to ensure timely delivery. Your day ends with reviewing system performance and preparing technical documentation, driving forward our mission of delivering on behalf of our customers. You will be required to be onsite working with our collaborative team and developing our culture 5 days a week.About The TeamProject Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and under-served communities around the world.The Kuiper Government Engineering team is a multi-disciplinary technology team involved in developing and delivering targeted and scalable solutions for custom satellite and ground applications. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market.
