In this role, you’ll lead a growing test team and own the entire test lifecycle—from building capabilities and infrastructure to executing full system integration and environmental validation. If you/'re passionate about space hardware, process automation, and leading high-impact testing efforts, this role is for you.Essential Job Functions and Desired AccomplishmentsLead test campaigns for satellite payload hardware, including thermal, vibration, shock, EMI/EMC, and acoustic environmentsBuild and manage a high-performing team of engineers, technicians, and specialistsDevelop test plans, procedures, infrastructure, and tooling to support rapid, scalable validationAnalyze test data, troubleshoot anomalies, and ensure all hardware meets performance standardsDrive the full integration, verification & validation (IV&V) process from concept through flightProvide input into DFM/DFA during design reviews to improve testability and manufacturabilityCollaborate closely with engineering, operations, and manufacturing teams to streamline productionOversee test activities during critical campaigns, with travel and 24/7 availability as neededImplement automation and process improvements aligned with a digital factory frameworkMaintain high standards of quality, documentation, and safety throughout all test operationsEducation/Qualifications/CertificationsRequired:Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or similar technical field5+ years of relevant experience in hardware test engineering (preferably aerospace or defense)Strong skills in test plan development, execution, and environmental testing techniquesExcellent problem-solving ability and technical documentation experienceAbility to build and lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced environmentsStrong verbal and written communication skillsWillingness to travel and work flexible hours during key test eventsFamiliarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)Experience with DFM/DFA and automated test systemsLeadership experience in managing engineers or techniciansBackground in spacecraft environmental testing and digital factory integrationSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionIndustries: Aviation and Aerospace Component Manufacturing, Defense and Space Manufacturing, and Space Research and Technology #J-18808-Ljbffr
