Our developers are committed to continuously learning and aren’t afraid of solving a challenging problem with self-motivation and determination.Our teams and our customer value their mission greatly and enjoy the idea that they can see the real impact of their work in human lives every single day.QualificationsRequired Skills:3+ years experience with Ruby on RailsAbility to obtain a public trustInterest in working in a social teamMission focused and a self starter/independent and scrappySomeone who enjoys less formality and more freedomExcellent communication and teamwork skillsDemonstrate sharp, analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.3+ years of experience with software development, software architecture, APIs, and microservices3+ years of experience with building software using agile methods1+ years of experience with database engineering, and manipulating relational and NOSQL databases1+ years of experience with automating tests for determining quality, security, performance and usability of a system.Experience with containerization technologies such as OpenShift, EKS, and DockerExperience writing and evaluating user stories, acceptance criteria, and pull-requestsExperience working in HCD, Agile and DevSecOps environmentsPreferred Skills / AttributesExperience in paired programming and Extreme ProgrammingWilling to learn Ruby and associated frameworks (e.g Ruby on Rails)Experience Lean Design, Test Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior Driven Development (BDD)A passion to contribute to the full stack – the front-end, backend and anything in-between (middleware or otherwise).About SteampunkSteampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $160,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
