If you enjoy tackling complex customer problems at scale, obsess over attention to detail, and are comfortable leading cross functional teams then this is the role for you. You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented individuals working to support the latest hardware and software technologies driving the enablement of large-scale AI clusters.The PersonThe ideal candidate should be excited about customer success and should possess technical and leadership skills to drive complex issues to resolution. Ability to articulate and present status to senior leadership is a must. Being a team player, and one who believes in listening to diverse perspectives is a baseline requirement, along with a proven automation and scripting background.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn key customer and OEM engagements for current and next generation of AI networking infrastructure products.Collaborate across various teams in Engineering and Marketing to resolve critical escalations.Drive serviceability and product quality requirements across the product portfolio.Provide inputs and shape the usability and serviceability of future products.Provide systems/product training to customers and build a knowledge base for customer support and internal partnersBe part of an on-call rotation to support production systemsPreferred ExperienceExperience engaging with Hyperscalers in a support leadership role.Experience troubleshooting at all levels of an integrated platform.Strong fundamentals in Datacenter Networking, Routing & Switching including load balancing (ECMP), underlay/overlay technologiesStrong scripting skills in Python/Go/Shell scriptingComfortable presenting at customer meetings and briefings to executive leadership.Familiarity with GPU operations, Collective Communication Libraries, modern AI training contextsFamiliarity with InfiniBand protocol & RDMA - including setup, bring up, troubleshootingFamiliarity with RoCE v2 congestion control protocolsFamiliarity with NCCL/RCCL test benchmarksFamiliarity with DPU and SmartNIC.Experience mentoring junior engineersExperience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers, and source code control systems (GitHub) is a plusAcademic CredentialsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldLocationSanta Clara, CA or Austin, TXBenefitsBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
