OverviewEngineering Lead, Infrastructure role at Kraft Heinz within the enterprise Zone Technical Execution (ZTE) organization. The Capital Engineering team plans and delivers new and renovated systems and capital assets at internal manufacturing sites and operating units (OPUs) across the North American zone. Reports directly to the Director of Design and Technical Capabilities. The Engineering Lead, Infrastructure will ensure all civil and structural engineering risks are identified and remediated, partner with NAZ Maintenance Leads to develop and implement maintenance plans, and collaborate with the GCOE to develop a Facilities & Property Management Playbook outlining minimum requirements and best practices. This individual will leverage a strong civil engineering and infrastructure background to work with third-party engineers, architects, and contractors to validate plans with stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesWork cross-functionally with various departments and levels to align infrastructure initiatives with NA zone priorities and objectives.Build and maintain a facility infrastructure health assessment tracker for all NAZ plants; prioritize remediation actions and assist plant/BU engineering teams in execution.Socialize health assessment scores and business criticality to BU leads and senior leadership.Outline and develop preventive actions to prevent reoccurrence of infrastructure issues.Develop infrastructure standards and designs for capital projects.Provide guidance to project teams and share best practices with project management teams on infrastructure activities related to KPFF study.Coordinate with Maintenance package owners and Manufacturing and Supply Chain leads to define, prioritize and budget capital projects in the AOP and Five-Year Strategic Plan.Serve as Engineering representative for Technical Peer Reviews (TPRs) within the assigned portfolio and participate in technical design reviews for capital projects.Manage expenditures and project budgets in accordance with zero-base budgeting guidelines; prepare interim and completion project reports; ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.Collaborate with the GCOE to develop the Facilities & Property Management Playbook with minimum requirements and best practices.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field; PE/PMP license highly preferred.7–10 years of experience in property maintenance focusing on building and property maintenance; experience in construction and infrastructure management.Strong business acumen and ability to translate long-term plans into actionable strategies.Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to build effective business relationships and manage multiple stakeholders.Strong relationship management to develop partnerships across the organization and with suppliers; ability to negotiate and influence decisions.Ability to operate with organizational agility and to remove roadblocks; strong prioritization skills.Strong computer skills; CAD experience preferred; experience writing scopes of work from project requirements; mentoring and coaching capabilities for technical leaders.Act as resident domain expert in their field.Work EnvironmentThis position is field-based with frequent travel to customer locations, stores, and manufacturing facilities. Willingness to travel outside the home state for extended periods (up to 50%) as needed. Ability to work remotely with limited supervision; flexible schedule including days, afternoons, nights, and overtime as needed.Physical RequirementsSite inspections for safety concerns; occasional climbing and traversal of the workplace; ability to complete tasks in a noisy environment.LocationChicago, IL (Aon Center)Compensation & BenefitsNew Hire Base Salary Range: $137,400.00 – $171,700.00. Bonus eligible per plan terms.
