Principal Architect

OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Principal Architect to lead and execute client assessments across multiple technology domains, while also developing repeatable toolkits and methodologies that scale across our consulting and professional services practices. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and consulting experience to guide enterprise clients through discovery, gap analysis, solution design, and roadmap development.The Principal Architect will play a pivotal role in shaping our standardized assessment framework, ensuring consistent delivery of actionable insights, and enabling our clients to transform through services such as Service Management Excellence, Vulnerability Management, Cloud Transformation, Application Modernization, and more.Client AssessmentsLead structured discovery engagements to understand client business objectives, challenges, and current-state technology landscapes.Conduct gap analyses across their subject matter expertise (cloud, cybersecurity, data strategy, IT service management, or infrastructure are the main areas) to identify maturity levels and opportunities.Develop solution designs and tailored roadmaps, aligning recommendations with client priorities and measurable business outcomes.Perform risk and impact assessments, including compliance, security, operational readiness, and change management.Provide implementation support and continuous improvement guidance during and after client engagements.Toolkit & Framework DevelopmentBuild standardized, repeatable toolkits for assessments, including templates, maturity models, and deliverable frameworks.Establish best practices for assessment methodologies that can be applied across verticals and service lines.Collaborate with practice leaders to ensure toolkits evolve with emerging technologies, industry regulations, and market demands.Service AreasAssessments will span (but are not limited to) the following areas: An understanding of the below is idealService Management Excellence EvaluationsWindows 11 Package AssessmentsImaging as a ServiceVulnerability Management as a ServiceApplication Packaging as a ServiceAutoPilot Optimization ServicesConsulting as a Service on RenewalsPreferred Qualifications10 years of experience in enterprise architecture, consulting, or professional services.Proven experience in assessment frameworks, solution architecture, and roadmap design.Strong background in one or more of the following: cloud transformation, ITSM, cybersecurity, data strategy & analytics, or infrastructure modernization.Hands-on knowledge of technologies such as Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows 11, ServiceNow, endpoint management tools, vulnerability management platforms, and automation frameworks.Experience in risk management, compliance frameworks (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR), and security strategy (e.g., Zero Trust).Ability to engage with executive stakeholders (CIOs, CTOs, CISOs) and translate complex technology concepts into business outcomes.Excellent communication, facilitation, and consulting skills.Certifications such as TOGAF, ITIL, CISSP, CISM, Azure Solutions Architect, or AWS Architect.Background in toolkit or framework development for consulting practices.Experience mentoring or leading teams in enterprise consulting engagements.Engagement StructureIndependent contractor role – Will ideally operate as an LLC or incorporated entity.Engagements are project-based (46 weeks per assessment), with the possibility of multiple projects across different clients.Flexibility to move between service areas and adapt to varying client needs is ideal and would lead to multiple assignments over time. #J-18808-Ljbffr
