Job Description:Summary:Barr is seeking an energy storage engineer to join our electrical engineering team and support our clients across facility, utility, industrial, fuels, and mining sectors. The role involves working on multidisciplinary project teams, assisting with energy-storage business development, understanding market trends, and helping to build our energy-storage services. The position may require up to 25% travel for out-of-town assignments.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field10+ years of relevant experienceAbility to work cooperatively in a high-energy environment and demonstrate self-initiativeFlexible working style and adaptability to meet deadlines and client needsStrong technical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAttention to detail and accuracyLegal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorshipValid driver's license and acceptable driving recordAbility to collaborate with stakeholders to develop technical solutionsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with energy storage applications and lifecycle demandsKnowledge of the power industry or utilitiesPE license or ability to obtain within one yearProficiency with energy and financial modelingUnderstanding of other renewable markets and technologiesWork Arrangement:A hybrid work model may be considered, combining time between an office and remote work. Locations include Ann Arbor or Grand Rapids, MI; Denver or Fort Collins, CO; Duluth or Minneapolis, MN; Salt Lake City, pensation:Base salary ranges from $115,000 to $140,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. The role is exempt under FLSA and may include a discretionary bonus based on performance.
