Join us to help deliver the next groundbreaking Apple product!Key QualificationsProven track record in wireless product design and prototyping.A deep understanding of real-world wireless systems, network architectures, user applications, and end-user device platform architectures (such as power delivery, processing, and memory systems) is required.Good programming skills are a plus.Consistent record in several of the following areas related to wireless systems and prototypes:Setting and refining system requirements to build solutions for prototype design, sub-component design, and validation.Creation of system abstractions and simplifications that allow rapid validation of research hypotheses.Applying AI/ML techniques to specific problem statements for wireless communications.Understanding product and application layer architectures in conjunction with deep hands-on operational knowledge of wireless platforms and devices.Confirmed deep technical expertise in at least one of the following areas:5G NR and 3GPP standards.IEEE wireless standards.Cellular and wireless networks.Wireless modem design and prototyping.Performance optimization in live networks.Excellent communication and leadership skills. Experience in leading multi-disciplinary engineering investigations with technical expertise is highly desired.Minimum requirement of a BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.Description6G systems are expected to evolve into a communicate-compute-sense fabric; 6G will provide new services and extend the coverage of existing services beyond today’s cellular systems. In your role as 6G platform architect, you will evaluate related innovative technologies and novel use cases while keeping in mind the constraints of end-user devices. You will propose and implement system prototypes and develop reference architecture models. You will collaborate multi-functionally with research and development teams as well as with external partners in planning and driving simulations and experiments to assess potential 6G technologies.Education & ExperienceMinimum requirement of BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience. Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree with 10+ years of work experience is preferred.Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700 and $300,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
