Latitude is headquartered in Pittsburgh with engineering centers in Dearborn, Mich., and Palo Alto, Calif.Software Engineer II positions offered by Latitude AI, LLC (Palo Alto, CA).What you’ll do:Help design and implement the offboard L3 map store and map build pipeline to ingest collected map dataApply updates to highway maps based on the needs for expansion or detected changes develop rigorous software products within various software programs such as C++, Python and JavaCollect map data while working on storage systemsBe responsible for fusing and mining data while integrating into a cloud-based serviceUtilize complex software in resolving issues that may ariseCollaborate with internal teams to understand needs and define requirements and interfacesWhat you'll need to succeed:Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, robotics or a related field and 2 years of experience in the position offered;or 2 years of experience performing web application design and development in Java, Python and C++Also requires 2 years of experience: designing and building scalable end to end automated testing infrastructure and solutions; and debugging large scale systemsIn lieu of a bachelor’s degree in the aforementioned fields and 2 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and experience or graduate level coursework as statedAlso, requires experience or graduate-level coursework: designing scalable solutions for big-data storage and retrieval, development and visualization of business-critical metricsExperience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.Position reports to Palo Alto, CA office. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Latitude employees are also eligible to participate in Latitude’s annual bonus programs, equity compensation, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.Candidates for positions with Latitude AI must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
