This position will work closely with modeling engineers and CAD to support internal design groups and external foundry customers with model extraction flow development and data analysis. The role will be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and providing guidance to design teams in their area of expertise.Roles & ResponsibilitiesThis position has responsibility for:Methodology development for complex model extractionsDetail analytical analysis of characterization data to investigate non-classical behaviorProvide required equipment specifications for advanced measurement system configurationStatistical model development and analysisModel implementation and flow development for multiple EDA platformsProvide technical leadership, insight, mentoring, and support to the design community, modeling team, and technology teamMinimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)6 years of relevant experience3 years of demonstrated technical leadershipDemonstrated ability to develop RF and large signal model extraction flowFamiliarity with measurement system for advanced characterization (IV, CV, S-parameters, Pulsed-measurements, Load-Pull, IMD, etc.)Experience developing a design of experiment for model extractionStrong understanding of semiconductor device physicsUnderstanding of the interaction between semiconductor manufacturing and device performancePreferred QualificationsBSIM, PSP, ANN, and/or Angelov model extraction methodsExperience in high frequency measurements for S-parameters, IP3, IMD, and NFHigh frequency model development for PA and LNA applicationsKnowledge of SPICE Simulation LanguageUnderstanding of CMOS, LDMOS, GaN modelingUnderstanding of large signal device electrical and thermal performanceUnderstanding of impedance matching and two port networksStrong understanding of PA design and simulation methodsEducation RequirementsMS EE or related field + 8 years, Ph.D preferredWork EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment.
