OverviewSenior Android Software Engineer on the Vehicle OS team at Applied Intuition in Mountain View, California. You will be at the heart of designing, building, and maintaining advanced Android apps that power next-generation vehicle intelligence and software at scale. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver smooth, innovative, and reliable features—ultimately driving the transition to a software-defined future for the automotive industry.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain high-quality Android applications that delight users and set new standards for in-vehicle experiencesCollaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to bring new features from concept to productionOptimize app performance, stability, and quality through best practices, code reviews, and continuous improvementIntegrate your applications with Applied Vehicle OS and ensure seamless end-to-end functionalityContribute to technical standards, architecture discussions, and sprint planning as part of a collaborative teamStay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends and tools to drive innovationQualifications5-10+ years of Android application development experience2-4+ years of experience shipped apps at scaleDeep expertise in Kotlin and Java for AndroidStrong understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and modern architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, etc.)Product-focused mindset and passion for building seamless, user-centric experiencesSelf-starter attitude and comfort working in a fast-paced, startup-like environmentTrack record of writing clean, maintainable, and testable codeNice to haveExperience with Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and/or Android Automotive OS (AAOS)Compensation and benefitsCompensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position.
